The principal objective of the present publication is to present in the form of an Encyclopedia volume the latest information on neuromascular function in sport and exercise. Many chapters are written in a very comprehensive way,thus combining the basic mehanistic knowledge whit true applictions. The neuromascular system is, therefore,often treated both as a control"Organ" and as a system that can itself operate and function very effeciently in demanding sport activites. Starting with the introduction of basic neuromascular function,as studied traditionality with isolated muscle functions,the chapter progressto explain the present state of the art in SSC adn how it si applied in various sport activities. Many specific research tools,some of which require invasive approaches are explained in detail. |
