Abstract/Notes The book is organized in have sections. All of the chapters have objecctives to focus the reader and Study Questions at the end to test your understanding of the iinformation presented. Section I covers the core concept of occupation. Chapter 1 defines and clarifies the terminology of occupation and how it used today. It focuses occupation as the core concept of the profession of occupation of occupational therapy. This Chapter highlights the need for occupational therapists to keep the individual's occupations in the forefront of their toughts throughout the intervention process. Chapter 2 views the profession's use of the term occupation historically. It also elves into ways that this contruct has been used in practice,and it presents human occupation in a broader context. The last chapter of this section explores the philosophical basis of occupation in and the diffren ways it has develoved in our profession and practice.
