The Terms participation, activites, impairments, and health condition are now incorporated into the vocabularies of contemporary physical theraiists. Nevertheless for physical therapist to "walk the walk" rather than just "talk the talk."the framework exemplified by the ICF model must be incoporated into how they design and implement evaluations and interventions. This Process is refleted in the documentation written by physical therapists. The out side world views physical therapy primarily by words that ware written-as communicated in medical record, Progres notes given to apatient or physician,or forms completed for an insurance company. We beleieve that documentation shapes and reflects the advances in the science of physical therapy and therefore requires an updated framework that incorporates current knowledge regarding the disablement and rehabilitation process. |
