This text seeks to integrate biomechanical knowledge into clinical training for patient care. This is not a simpleyask but by relating the basic concepts of biomechanics to everyday life, rehabilitation, orthopedics,traumatology, and patient care are greatly enchanced. Biomechanics is a multtidisclipnary specialty, and patien care are greatly enchanced. Biomechanics is a multidisciplinary sepialty,and sowe have made a special effort to invite national and international contributors from many disciplines so that individuals from diffrent fields my feel commfortable reading this book. This book is now traslated into cantones, Dutch, Japanese,Korean,Portuguese, and Spanish. Together with an invaluable team, we have produced this fourth edition of Basic Biomechanics of the musculoskeletal System. The new edition is sharpaned and improved, thanks to the input from the students, resient, intructors,and faculity in different disciplines that have used the text during the fast 20 years. This book is written for students and with a major imput from student and will hopefully be used to educate students and resident for many years o come. |
