<note>The idea behind the pocketbook is to help those learning anatomy, particularly for vocational careers in the health sciences,by condensing the detailed text of AHM into more manageable segments. However,it is reconized that the detail provided in this book is insfficient for the level of anatomical knowledge required by a number of professions. It is envisaged that this book will be a useful aid to revision rater than the initial and only source of anatomical information. It is also anticipated that because of its size the pocketbook will be used by students and clinicians in the clinical setting, acting as a quick source of reference and revision. This is further supplemented by the study card which are also available. The Illustrations in this book have been taken from AHM and in some cases amalgamated, especially showing functional groups of muscles related to the major joints. Finally, material is presented regionally centred on the major joints.</note>
