This reference guide allows the reader to use easily a thirty-year accumulation of journal literature as his textbook of hand surgery. The readre finds his topic in the index and is refered to one or more listings in the bibliographic sections. The articles listed here have been selected on the basis of their clinical relevance and practicality,as well as their accessibility. We have tried to select thebest and most recent articles for every conceivable topic related to surgery of the hand. When there are multiple methods of dealing with a specific problem,we have tried to represent the alternatives so that the reader may make his own choice. Therefore,theinclusion of an article is not necessarily an editorial endorsement of its consclusions,but only an attempt to present the spectrum of information available. If several articles on a subject are of similat value,we have usually listed only the moost recent one,provided it refers back to the other uuseful,earlier contributions. Research articles are included when they contain information wichseems clinically applicable. |
