The book's title was changed to Hollinshead's Functional Anatomy Of The Limbs And Back in honor of a friend, mentor,colleague, and superb anatomist who cotributed so much to the disclipline. As the text has evolved trough its numerous subsequent editions, the main coverage has remained true to the title, and it has been expanded to provide a more complete coverage of the body to create a better resource for those who use the book. With the ninth edtion, additional modifications will be evident. the text hss been updated and modified, and the terminology has been updated to conform to the internationlally accepted Terminologia Anatomica: International Anatomical Terminology developed by the Federative Committee on Anatomical Terminology. New"Analyses of Activities and Associated Movements" have been adedd. These discussions demonstrate the correlation between anatomy and function and illustrate how they relate tho everyday activities. At the end of each chapter,separate sections with review questions and exercises have been expanded. These are included to assist readers in evaluating their understanding of the material and to provide examples of question and practical exercises that can be used as a basis for developing additional questions for testing comprehension. |
