Abstract/Notes Therapeutic Electrophysical Agents: Evidence Behind Practice, Second Edition is muchmore than an update of Evidence-Based Guide to Therapeutic Physical Agents, published in 2002. In additional material thet make this textbook one of the most comprehensive ever written on the topic of therapeutic electrophysical agents(EPAs). My goals in writting the fisrt edition werw to provide faculty, researchers, students, practitiones, and manufacturers with an easy-to-consult,portable,evidence-based guide to the practice of therapy with EPAs. For the fisrt time, readers were provided with a pocket-sized EPA test, which was written in outline format and based on the scientific evidence available at the time. Sincethe publication of the fisrt edition,my publisher and I have gathered feedback from readers. Two elements were unanimously appreciated: The focused nature of the content(evicence-based) and the format(outline). However, readers differed on whether they prefered the pocket size or wourld prefer a more traditional textbook. This second edtion reflects their remarks and suggestions in an attempt to develop and deliver the most comprehensive and practical evidence-based EPA textbook for colege and university cuorses at the bachelor's,master's,and doctoral degree levels. The second edition expands on the content of the fisrt by including foundtion material, such as tissue healing and pain, as well as additional EPAs,while retaining the originl outline format. In addition of learning objectives, criticl thinking questions, and case studies.
