<note>This second edition of Joint Range of Motion and Muscle Length Testing Contains several improvements that we hope will be of great benefit to students and clinicians who purchase this text. One of the major inprovements in this edition was the creation of a DVD to accompany the text. The companionDVD includes demonstrations of all range of motion and muscle lenght testing techniques for adults that are contained in the text. This DVD will provide students and clinicians a medium with which they can review or independently learn any of these techniques. Feedback from the fisrt edition led us to add a completely new chapter on pediatric joint motion for this edtion. Written by a pediatric certified specialist wit over 10 years experience in the pediatric population. Measurement of Joint Motion in Infants and Children(Chapter 16) contains principles and specific techniques used in maesuring range of motion in children, with a practicular emphasis on the measurement of joint motion in infans. Troughout the second edition, information has been updated to reflect the latest testing techniques, data on normative values for range of motion, and reliability and validity studies from the current literature. In the techniques chapters, line drawings of the joints have been added to supplement the anatomical descriptions and photographs of the goniometric landmarks of the fisrt edition.</note>
