The first edtion of Physicsl Fherapy Of The Soulder was published in 1987,and now we are publishing the fifth edition nearly 25 years later. I would like to thank my readers for their support throughout the years that has made this book successful. the fifth ediion has keft up with the tradition of Physical Therapy evidence-based practie. It is Amaing how the literature now hes developed our profession fro and art to sciene. Each chapter is a excelent example of how the science of physicl Therapy continues to grow. The shoulder joint is a complicated structure consisting of three synovial joints,the scapula thoraric artiulation,and 17 muscles. The shoulder complex hangs off the rib cage and is conneed to the cervical and thoraric spine. The complexity of shoulder makes many rehabilitation students and clinicians uncertain in assessing shoulder pathomechanics and in establishing treatment approaches for different shoulder pathologies.
